Another of the new features introduced last month was Interactive Floor Plans. These are floor plans with integrated photos that appear as camera icons on the plan. We're currently testing these with a group of customers to gain feedback, and anticipate a full launch shortly. In the meantime, it would be very useful if you could view this sneak preview and let us know what you think:
Click here to see an Interactive Floor Plan
We're particularly interested to hear if it displays correctly on your computer, whether you find it easy enough to use and whether it has the features you want. Don't forget to click the 'Photos' tab as well, which shows full screen versions of the same pictures. You'll be able to upload full-size digital camera pictures onto the floor plan which really benefit from this distinctive full-screen presentation.
As always, please feel free to email, phone or comment below.
This looks like a good idea & will bring 2D floorplans to life. At present it looks much better than 3D floor plans, but only on houses similar to the example shown as not all houses are as photogenic.

very good

Another great idea to bring the floorplans alive. I would also agree that this is, in many respects, better than the 3D plans as the pictures are representative of the actual property which prevent confusion with applicants.

Great idea as the viewers do not have to switch over to the photo section,in order to see what the room looks like - "kills two birds with one stone"
The speed of zooming the photos is slow and they judder until full size.
Could you link in a video clip?

Thank you to everyone for all the constructive comments here and by email. As well as feeding directly into the product's development in the run-up to general availability of Interactive Floor Plans, the suggestions here will greatly influence our longer term product development plans.

That looks great! Agree with above thoughts as it does help 2d plans come alive yet does not confuse people like sometimes the 3d plans seem to!

I think the camera icon is excessive as an SLR with a flash. A smaller simple compact zoom icon would be more instantly recognisable and would not conceal so much of the floorplan.
Could your also consider making the navigation buttons as language neutral for a non english speaking user audience, ie arrows and crosses etc rather than "close" "next"?

Looks good and I guess a relatively straightforward interface to include images within florrplans. Are you planning also to offer display of 360 images by the same method or a combination of still photos and 360 images?

I think the pictures look great. We have a slide show of pics on our website but I think this would work much better and would stand out against the competition. Looks really really smart.

Have you defined how much text content you intend for each of the photos?
Would this (aesthetically) be too much?
"There is a lounge area with plenty of space for a dining table and sofa/bed settee. Adjoining is the well equipped kitchen area with space for full height fridge,a gas hob, work surfaces and plenty of storage below."
When do you anticipate launching????

It does seem like a good idea and a gimmick to stand out from others. My only concern is from and administrative point of view over the time to link the photos to the plan. Is it a simple process or could the time to do this outweigh the benefits?

Great idea which we would use on all our properties.
I remember contacting you some time ago and asking whether you did this. At the time you didnt. Great minds think a like.
