The Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) chief executive, Harry Rich, has been quoted saying that "shameful shoebox homes" may lead to a "lower quality of life" for consumers*. As a result, the association is calling for access to better information, in terms of floor areas and floor plans that incorporate example furnishings. By doing so, it will provide consumers with a clearer view on the size of the property and how it would suit their personal living needs.
